Constitutional Limits on Government Have Been Subverted; We Are Losing Our Republic!
"A democracy is two wolves and a small lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Freedom under a constitutional republic is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." - Benjamin Franklin (1706 - 1790)
As government takes unto itself more and more powers never authorized under the U.S. Constitution (or the Constitution of the State of West Virginia), we are losing our freedoms. Government, at all levels, has only been able to subvert the limitations because our elected have failed to carry out their Constitutional oaths to protect and defend us from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Edmund Burke has observed that it is we, the People, who shall be responsible for the loss of our Republic, should we fail to act. Shall we let evil prevail?
